Commander David R. Scott is the first guest in this fall’s Digital Speaker Series.
Scott will describe his journey to the Moon in the summer of 1971 and the Apollo 15′s exploration of the Apennine Mountains, the Hadley Rille, and the plains of Mare Imbrium.
Scott and fellow astronauts Jim Irwin, and Al Worden also had the opportunity to orbit the Moon, obtaining a host of new observations of the lunar far side.
This is a great opportunity to learn firsthand from someone who has experienced life on another planetary body.
This event is free and open to public, with a reception to follow. Arrive early. Seating is limited.
